LOW LIGHT INJURED BUT NOT OUT
The Low Light Injured But Not Out course is our three day program that takes a pragmatic approach to injured shooter problem-solving during low light conditions and is influenced by data & human behavior. The course was designed to meet the needs of those looking to learn, improve & study various methods of injured shooter training in low light environments. Low light injured shooter will cover injured shooter principles & applications, proper combat application tourniquet (CAT-TQ) process, basic trauma management, positional work, and movement. Problem solving will occur, come prepared mentally & physically.
INDIVIDUAL EQUIPMENT LIST
- A functional and practical handgun with a minimum of 3 magazines
- A functional and practical carbine with a minimum of 3 magazines
- Approximately at least 800 rounds of ammunition for each weapon system (Allows students to have enough repetitions to build and reinforce techniques)
- Sturdy Holster w/ Belt (Cross-draw and Blackhawk Serpa Prohibited)
- Double or Triple Magazine Pouch
- Personal IFAK to work out of if applicable to your setup/daily carry
- Ear and eye protection (CLEAR eyes for low light)
- Handgun lubrication/cleaning kit
- Comfortable clothing used for strenuous activity (Pants only)
- Food and Beverage
- Note taking material
- Handheld light (mandatory) Weapon light (optional, but recommended)
- Spare batteries for light systems
- 4 Chem Lights
Course Prerequisites
- THIS IS NOT A BEGINNERS CLASS
- U.S. Citizen & able to legally carry a firearm
- Able to demonstrate and employ safe weapons handling during courses of fire
- Previous intermediate to advanced firearms training to include courses of fire where movement, barricades, working around others, communicating and adverse shooting positions were addressed
