TARGETS FOR THE EVERYDAY PROFESSIONAL

9/7/2022

These targets were designed with everyone in mind, meaning that any shooter ranging from an enthusiast level to the professional level can implement these targets into their range sessions. All you need is a printer, some ink and a shot timer (If you want to push yourself a bit more.) They can be ran as is or modified to each individuals needs. There are no shortcuts on the road to mastery.

WARMUP TARGET

A simple target that is a based around limited time and a limited ammo budget. It’s important to maximize your range time and isolate certain skills and attributes you wish to improve on at the range. Designed to help a shooter focus on pure handgun fundamentals with a 50-round workout (Generally the count of one box ammo.)

MINI CASINO TARGET

This drill/target is inspired by Tom Givens who often runs a full-size version of The Casino Drill (Imperative to give credit where credit is due.) However, not many of us have access/funds to full size targets or simply want a quick target to print out. I decided to come up with a compressed version of the drill, hence called The Mini Casino Drill. The goal of the drill is you draw and fire one round on the 1, two on the 2, three on the 3, [four on the 4, five on the 5, and six on the 6) and conduct reloads as they manifest. This drill is not a “race’ drill, but is more of a processing drill and test the shooters ability to stay mentally connected throughout the drill.

RDS ZERO TARGET

The RDS Zero Target is designed with a simple process in mind of acquiring a zero for your RDS system quickly and effectively without all the guess work. The grid lines are designed One Inch apart and approximate measurements are marked below target, dependent on which style of RDS system you are running. The RDS Zero Target provides with you a baseline measurement process, follow that and you’ll be on target. The outline of the circle is also the 9, 10 & X ring of a B8.

GRIM STANDARD

Cavity Only
A target collaboration between myself and Ryan "Grim" Johnson who is a full time SWAT Officer in NV. The concept behind this drill is simple. We wanted a drill that would test a shooters cold start skills under "realistic conditions." Most realistic engagements are short in duration and high intensity. This drill will test how quickly a shooter can draw, present on target and accurately engage on a mock chest cavity.
The stand alone chest cavity target is also included below for additional training usage.

B8 TARGET

Based on the traditional NRA B8 target this is an updated version to show hit point scale and scoring. Also has been modified to be printer friendly reducing ink usage.

Our target that is used during certain courses of fire such as qualifications or performance on demand drills. Target is a reduced size alpha zone of an USPSA target. Similar to folding a paper in half and placing it vertically in the a-zone. Forces shooters to have a higher degree of accuracy combined with speed.

CRANIAL VAULT TARGET

A stand alone cranial vault target that can be used to overlay a USPSA head zone hit box combined with the chest cavity target above. Version 2 includes two cranial vault targets that can be cut down the middle for extra targets.
